Graduation Survey

The Aviation Science Management Program recently completed a survey of its graduates. The follow-up survey includes a question to investigate the satisfaction of graduates with how adequately the program prepared them academically. The question was:
“I am satisfied with the academic preparation I received through Texas Southern University Aviation program towards B.S. degree in Aviation Science Management.”
This was to be answered with these options: strongly agree, agree, somewhat agree, neither agree or disagree, somewhat disagree, disagree, and strongly agree. The figure below shows the results attained from the survey which revealed that 81% of the alumni were satisfied with the academic preparation they received through their degree in Aviation Science Management. These 81% constitutes those that strongly agreed and those that simply agreed. One of the goals of the aviation program is to prepare graduates and equip them with the skills necessary to function effectively and in technical and managerial positions.

Within the survey conducted, a question to investigate the work responsibilities for those alumni working in the industry was asked. The question was,
“What are the majority of your work/position responsibilities considered?”
the figure below shows the results from the respondents.

Technical and managerial work responsibilities yielded the highest percentages in all the options. Technical yielded 40% and Managerial yielded 37%.
